Database

The CRM keeps everything in one MySQL (or MariaDB) database.

How to set up the database

In cPanel → Security → Manage API Tokens, create a token and paste it here. The wizard creates the database and a user with a strong password, gives the user all privileges and saves them in the config file. The token is used once and not stored; you can delete it in cPanel afterwards.

Your domain, or the server name cPanel shows (for example box1234.bluehost.com).

cPanel adds your account prefix, so crm becomes something like abcd1234_crm. The user gets the same name.

On cPanel it starts with your account prefix, like abcd1234_crm.

Almost always localhost.

MAMP: 8889. Most servers: 3306.

Used instead of host and port when filled in.

Site settings

The full web address of this CRM folder, without a slash at the end.

Outgoing email

Used for password resets, reminders, activation emails and invitations. Your host's email settings are in cPanel → Email Accounts → Connect Devices.

How to send email

Usually the full email address.

Passwords are saved only in the config file on this server. An encryption key and a one-time setup token are generated for you.
